A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Buyer to join an excellent manufacturer in the Bristol area.

With no day ever being the same the Technical Buyer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

Work as part of the purchasing team to:

Ensure the purchase of cost-effective materials and on time delivery.
Supplier management. Build relationships with current and new suppliers. Conduct scoping and approvals, risk assessments and performance evaluations.
Work closely with the R&D team and engineers, providing support for product development.
Develop effective procedures across the purchasing department in line with ISO9001.
Work closely with the quality team to resolve non-conformance

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Previous purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment (Electronics advantageous)
Ideally CIPS and Degree qualified
Experience working with R&D and engineers – preferable
MRP System experience
