A world-renowned business who specialises in the supply of high-quality components into the automotive industry are currently looking to recruit a Lead Brake Design Engineer. This business is developing evolutionary and revolutionary solutions to the industry, launching more than 20 new products in the last couple of years. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to a diverse range of challenging engineering and cross functional projects supporting the European Aftermarket and Re-manufacturing businesses.

A starting salary of between £50,000 – £60,000

The Role:

Leading design, development, and validation activity for aftermarket and re-manufacturing products. This will include development and reverse engineering of new components and assemblies, establishing product specifications, coordinating testing, conducting design reviews and release approvals.
Provide day to day technical support to the remanufacturing operations team, facilitate cost reduction and component recovery projects, support product launches and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

What you Need?

Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
5 years of experience in the automotive industry
Working knowledge of CAD, preferably Pro-Engineer Wildfire 2
Knowledge of latest FEA techniques
