Direct Technical Buyer – Plymouth

£35,000 – £45,000

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Direct Technical Buyer to join a special purpose manufacturing company in the Plymouth area!

With no day ever being the same the Direct Technical Buyer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

Material cost management: Negotiate prices with suppliers.
Support the procurement and deal with all internal and external queries.
Action MRP exception reports within agreed timeframe
Ensure compliance to sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and QHSE and ethics policies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Educated to Degree Level (or equivalent) / CIPS qualification or equivalent
Experience in buying/ procurement in the manufacturing industry.
Reading and understanding technical specifications and drawings.
SAP experience – Desirable
