Our client is a leading company that is dedicated to supporting customers that are supplied into a range of industries, their product quality is recognised as second to none. Due to growth and expansion into various export markets they are looking for an Procurement and Planning Manager to join their close-knit team. You will have responsibility for 3 manufacturing sites.

Key roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for factory production planning in a fast moving environment, balancing customer demand with production capacity and linking this to optimum procurement; optimum in terms of cost and stock levels
The role includes responsibility for developing and executing supply plans, meeting customer demand while optimising inventory levels and minimising supply chain risk and effectively running the day-to-day operation of the on-site supply planning team.
To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of supply chain operation, preferably within an FMCG environment. Experience of production planning is essential. You will work closely with different departments from both a site and group perspective.
This position acts as part of our wider ‘Senior Leadership Team’ and is the key representative for Group Supply Planning.
Utilising your previous planning experience, you will confidently refine systems and methods to continually improve the link between procurement and production

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Ideally MCIPS qualified (or working towards CIPS level 4 Minimum would be advantageous)
Minimum 5 + years’ experience holding senior position within Procurement
Proficient in the application and use of ERP / MRP systems
Experience of building Procurement and Material Planning systems and procedures
Ability to demonstrate a strong track record in procurement and leadership
Be able to work autonomously and independently to ensure alignment with cross functional teams
Well organised with a structured and logical approach to problem solving
