Role Description

Designing product components, assemblies, and production tooling in line with company standard practices, design for manufacture concepts, set budgets and deadlines.

Producing Concepts, 3D models, 2D detailed drawings and assemblies

Creating Bill of materials.

Investigating, identifying, and utilising suitable materials and products in designs.

Liaising and collaborating with engineering, production, onsite machine shops and purchasing departments, as well as suppliers.

Collaborating with engineering department on factory instruction documentation, parts’ lists and ensuring costs are understood and communicated.

Convening, Chairing and recording design reviews as necessary

Working to tight deadlines under pressure

Skills and Qualifications

– Understanding of engineering material properties

– 5+ years experience

– Solidedge desirable will also look at Solidworks

– Able to create designs through the whole process from concept to final parts

– Background in tooling , Aerospace , Automotive or similar

-Hands on shop floor experience desirable
