Margaret G. Plaza, Principal Attorney
Since 2007, Margaret has appeared in district, state, and federal courts, also regularly appearing in the state's administrative fora such as the Department of Unemployment Assistance and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Margaret concentrates in personal injury, product liability, civil rights, criminal defense and business disputes. She also negotiates severance agreements for various technical, executive and healthcare employees. She provides counseling to business clients in contracting as it relates to anti-kickback laws, antitrust laws, privacy, equity financing and federal law prohibiting discrimination in franchising, supplier, distributor, vendor and marketing contracts. Before starting her practice, she worked on large international transactions($10M-$50M), products liability claims and professional liability claims for a variety of clients including a Fortune 50 medical device corporation, an international consulting firm, healthcare practitioners and other individuals.
In 2013, she obtained a jury verdict of $1.24M now under appeal at the Supreme Judicial Court. In 2011, Lisa won the Access To Justice award for her pro bono efforts on behalf of many deserving clients.
